Jet Lag at its Finest

Sunday, 1.12.2014:

So on my second day in Dublin, my roommate, Catie and I slept in very late. And by late I'm talking about 3 or 4 PM. I woke up earlier than Catie and I just sat in bed creating this lovely blog and figuring out a couple of ins and outs of Dublin. Once Catie finally got up we chatted with the other roommate, Melissa, that had arrived earlier that day. She is a very sweet girl and we all should get along just fine. After a couple more hours of doing absolutely nothing, Catie and I finally left the house (for the first and only time that day) and went to one of the other Illinois students' apartment and hung out there for the night. We all just shared stories and got to know each other even better over wine and ciders. Since this is a rather boring post I thought I would share some pictures of my new home.

Here is door to my apartment:

This is the view of the street (Pearse Street) from my door:

And here is the front hallway :

As you walk in the front hallway, on the left is a bedroom

As you continue down the front hall you get to my bedroom
Pictured above is my roommate and fellow Illinois student, Catie

Then you walk up a flight of stairs

And when you get up the flight of stairs you see my living room:
Yes, our furniture is beanbags...
At the top of the flight of stairs the bathroom and kitchen are on your left

You can go up another flight of stairs that leads to the third level

The third level consists of one more bedroom and a small private bathroom

That's my new home. I like it a lot, the only downsides are it is super cold majority of the time, taking a shower sometimes means losing hot water midway through, and you can hear just about everything that happens on the street. But even with those downsides it has a great location and it has a lot of charm to it!

Cheers,
Jenny
