Special Visitor

Monday 2.3.2014:

Due to my cold I decided to sleep in so I could build up my strength so I could show my visitor around the city. And who was my visitor? THOMAS! Good ole Thomas from high school. He was a foreign exchange student when I was a freshman in high school and we have been friends ever since. He was supposed to come into town around 12, but do to difficulty with buses he didn't get to my place until about 3. To say I was a little worried that he was lost in the heart of Dublin was an understatement. I was extremely glad when he finally made it to my home. After a big bear hug we caught up a little then decided to go to the Guinness Storehouse. This time at the storehouse I actually got to read everything and enjoy a little education (like a true Heck). We also had the opportunity to try the tasting opportunity which was fascinating because it allowed us to find out the aromas of each individual ingredient in a pint of Guinness. After the storehouse we stopped by a famous chipper to get some Fish and Chips before heading home. Back at my place we enjoyed our dinner and some whiskey. The rest of the night we just stayed in and chatted with the roommates. It was a very relaxing evening.

Cheers,
Jenny
