Catie and I woke up early to get ready for our school field trip to Belfast in Northern Ireland. The trip to Belfast was pretty boring. Everyone just listened to their iPods as we drove along the countryside. When we arrived at Belfast we took a bunch of pictures of the murals in the city. There is the famous Peace Wall were we all took photos.

A lot of people sign this walk when they come to it, I am no exception to this. After the peace wall we went to this little museum that held crafts made by the prisoners from the prison places. I personally though this thought this museum was really odd. The only good part about it was that a couple of us listened to our professor talk in more detail about the revolution and the prisons. Once this little weird museum was over we went to get some lunch. The lunch was also odd. The Irish feel the need to mix the weirdest things when making sandwiches. Everyone grabbed some weird sandwiches then sat down and tried to diseifer what was in the sandwiches. We also had some vegetable soup which was pretty good. After lunch we hopped on a bus to head over to the Titanic museum.
Fun fact: The Titanic was built in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Fun fact: There was in fact a J. Dawson on the Titanic, but Jack Dawson from the movie was a made up character.
Right outside the museum there was racing of some kind with old cars. That was really interesting to watch.
Here's what I mean:
After a couple of us watched the cars, we hopped on the bus to see downtown Belfast a little bit. In downtown we walked around for a bit then, Erica, Amy, Wendy and I went to get hot chocolate. I tried to figure out if I could get a flag pin from Northern Ireland since it's a different country but that appeared to not be possible. I guess I'll have to order one on eBay. After our hot chocolate a bunch of us got on a bus to head back to Dublin while a couple decided to stay the night to see the Giants Causeway and the Rope Bridge the next day. On the bus ride home I worked on blog posts and listened to music. When back at home I made myself a little dinner and relaxed a little. Although going and grabbing a pint was in my original plan for the night, it's always nice to have a relaxing night after a day of traveling.
Cheers,
Jenny
