Making Irish Friends

Wednesday, 2.26.2014:

Typical morning before class. In class we learned more about advertising which is getting more fascinating. I will admit I am glad I am a finance major, it is just more up my ally. I like dealing with figures and projections more than analyzing target market preferences. After some lunches and my second class I met up with eMarketing group to work on project. It was really frustrating that my group members weren't really helping with the tasks at hand and they also kept leaving during the meeting. It was also a little frustrating that the French people in my group kept speaking French. One thing I learned in Panama was that it was incredibly rude to speak in another language when in company of people that don't know that language. I wouldn't have been as offended if they had said "excuse us we need to talk in French for a bit" but they would simply start speaking French in the middle of our conversations. After the project meeting was over I went to work on my budget for this semester, let me tell you study abroad is expensive #confessionsofabrokekid. It was time for my last class of the day which was boring as usual. We learned more about the rebellion from the UK. Once class was over Catie and I headed home in order to eat some food and then get ready to go out. Once we were ready, Becca, Catie and I walked over to Stephens Lane. At Stephens everyone just shared stories while we drank our wine. After a while we all walked over to The Palace. Although I got separated from the group a couple of times I ended up having a blast. I even met an Irish guy and had a lovely conversation with him. For all you curious people out there (so Sarah), his name is Kyle and he is from Donegal. Cheers to me for making some Irish friends in Ireland!

Cheers,
Jenny
