5:45 wake up was a bit rough but I did it. I met Shannon, Wendy, and Angie in lobby. The tour company we were going with said we could be picked up anywhere from 6:30 to 7:30 am and when do we get picked up? Around 7:30. We were a little annoyed at this because all of us wanted to sleep a little more. Once we were picked up we were off. The group of people we were with was a mixed bag of older couples, young families, and then some odd balls we couldn't figure out. The four of us slept for the majority of the trip to Naples. One of the annoying things about the tour was the guide spoke in English, Spanish, French and Japanese. Many times throughout the tour we would listen to the English bit, then zone out for the other languages then forget to zone back in for the next English part. This meant that we missed half of what she was saying most of the time.
Although I missed some of the things she told us, I did catch these three fun facts:
Fun fact: Pizza was born in Naples area.
Fun fact: Margret of Savoy was the person Margarita pizza was named for, and the colors represent the colors of the Italian flag.
Fun fact: There was about 25 feet of ash in Pompeii.
After seeing Naples for a bit we continued on our way to Pompeii. Once we were at Pompeii we stopped to eat some lunch provided by the tour company. After the food was gobbled up we got to tour and learn about Pompeii. Here are some pictures of the historical city:
Once we were finished touring the ancient city, we hopped on the bus and headed home. Back at the hostel we decided that Chinese food sounded like an excellent idea so we went and ate a place down the street called Asian Delight. After dinner we went back to the hostel and enjoyed a couple drinks before calling it a night.
Cheers,
Jenny

We stopped for a little bit in Naples to snap some pictures of the coast line. Then we drove around Naples and had the chance to see some main attractions of the city. Unfortunately we only got to see these places from the bus.
Cheers,
Jenny
