Movies and Papers

Thursday, 2.27.2014:

Although I had missed class I did end up being pretty academic. I got up and went to the little shop next to my apartment and picked up a Cajun chicken sandwich. While I wolfed down the delicious sandwich I watched UP. Every time I watch that movie it reminds me of Grandma and Grandpa. It made me wish they could see and hear about all my adventures here in Ireland. Even though I can't personally share all my stories with them I know they are watching over me. Rest in Peace <3.

After the movie I worked on my online marketing midterm. Thankfully it wasn't too hard and I finished it pretty quickly. After this I packed up my bag to go to a coffee shop to try and finish a paper that was due for this online marketing class. Instead of going to the coffee shop I ended up just wandering through the city. It was really great to go explore the city and the different shops within it. I loved walking around with no agenda. After my stroll I decided it was time to go back home and make some dinner and actually write my paper. Back at home I got to work on my paper while preparing myself a quesadilla. Yes a quesadilla, I'm getting more clever when it comes to the food I am making! The paper was coming a lot faster than I thought it would so I took a break from that to complete my group eMarketing paper that was due on Friday. After a couple of edits it was ready to be sent off to the professor. I've decided that I am not a huge fan of group projects here - everyone has their own agenda and typically projects are no one's priorities so no one really puts in the effort. I've really taken for granted the work ethic of Illinois students. Once this was all done I returned to my paper which took more and more motivation the later the night got. I was hoping that I was going to make it out with some of the Wisconsin girls but I didn't have enough of the paper done to feel comfortable going out. I was a little jealous that Catie got to go out. The one upside to staying was I had a chance to chat to my old friend Savannah, it was really nice to reconnect with her. After chatting with her I spent the rest of the night packing for my weekend trip to Galway. I was really excited to see the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands.
